Carney deletes her Twitter account as she receives a huge amount of sexist abuse after the Leeds United official account mocks her.

Karen Carney has 144 international caps and played in four world cups. She has recently become a pundit on Match of the day 2.
On there she stated her opinion of the football club Leeds United, stating if the team carry on the way they are they could "blow up" by the end of the season. She also mentioned that Covid-19 helped the team to be promoted towards the back end of last season.
The Leeds United official twitter account posted the clip of the ex England star and wrote "Promoted because of COVID. Won the league by 10 points."
The clip was viewed 5.8 million times, which led to Carney receiving lots of backlash and sexist comments from Twitter users.
The tweet still has not been deleted by the club, as the owner Andrea Radrizzani defends the tweet by stating the comments were "completely unnecessary and disrespectful to our club".
Leeds went on to comment about the situation, "everyone at our club respects Karen greatly for all she has achieved in the game, as well as her work in the media and the charity work she undertakes."
