Women's Tennis Season 2021 to start January 5th

The competition is to start in Abu Dhabi at the start of January.

The WTA are also having tournaments in Auckland and Shenzhen, however they will be pushed back to the 2022 calendar - due to travel restrictions.

However, the 2021 WTA season will start on January 5th in Abu Dhabi, as the early-season calendar will revolve around the Australian Open. The Abu Dhabi tournament will be between January 5-13, and to qualify for Australian Open January 10-13.

All players and staff will travel to Australia and complete two-week quarantine period due to Covid-19.

The Australian Open will be held in Melbourne Park on January 31 - February 7.
